Welcome to Shofar East London

Enter our doors and step into a vibrant community of everyday people. A place where authentic relationships are formed and nurtured. A place where hearts are anchored in the fullness of Christ and bodies are mobilised for others to receive it.

This is home. This is family. This is Shofar East London.

Join us for one of our two Sunday morning services either at 08:00, or 10:00.

We have Kids Church (Ages 3-12) and also have separate rooms for those with babies or toddlers at the back of the church venue.

Dresscode: Casual. Come as you are.

Mother's & Toddlers' Rooms

We have well equipped and comfortable mother's room and separate toddlers rooms available for parents at the back of the church venue.

Amplified Youth

Our Friday evenings youth is the place to be! Faith, Friends and Fun is what it's about. If you are in grade 7 to 12, then join us Friday at 18:00 in our Amplified Youth Centre.

Porter Coffee

We have our very own Porter Coffee hub in the foyer area of the church. Grab a Cappuccino or other coffee drink before or after the service.

Kids Church

The next generation is of utmost importance. We have children's church running concurrently with the Sunday service at 8am and 10am. Your kids will love it!

André & Sonika Kruger

Senior Pastors

André is passionate about leading people into intimacy with God and equipping individuals to become all that God has destined them to be. André is married to Sonika and together with their son, Wian, they love to serve the Bride of Christ (the local and wider Body of Christ).

Steven & Yvette Montgomery

Elders

Steven and Yvette have 3 children, Frances,Jacques & Oliver. They love to spend time together outdoors - camping, hiking or at the sea. As a couple, they want to see relationships flourish and people set free from whatever might be holding them back.

Deon & Koba Henning

Elders

Since meeting as students in Shofar Stellenbosch 18 years ago, Deon and Koba have structured their lives around serving the church. Together with their sons, Michael and Stefan, they form a unique and potent team. They are passionate about seeing Acts 10:38 become the reality of the body of Christ.

Jean-Pierre Gonneau

Elders

Jean-Pierre has been serving at Shofar East London for over a decade. He is on staff part-time handling all design and marketing matters, as well as running his own design company. An avid outdoorsman, you will regularly find him and his daughters, Ava and Ella, following trails in the bush or scaling mountain peaks. JP is passionate about purpose and identity being found in the body of Christ.

Alan & Rosie van Dyl

Elders

Alan enjoys surfing, swimming and spending time on the beach. He is married to Rosie and together they are passionate about missions, the prophetic and investing into peoples lives.

Reon & Leigh Kockjeu

Elders

Reon, Leigh & daughter Kyra enjoy family time together, entertaining and loving people.

As business owners Reon’s passion is to raise up Kingdom generation leaders be it his staff in the work place and his business associates.

As a previous provincial rugby player he enjoys all sports BUT unfortunately from the couch most of the time!!!
