HEART OF CONVERGENCE

Convergence is our Global Family Conference held every second year. This allows us to gather as a greater church family.
During this conference, we celebrate what God has done and look forward to what is to come.

Our theme for Convergence 2024 is Sent in Spirit and Truth, based on the scripture in John 4. We believe that God is inviting us to come to Him
and by getting to know Him, He will equip us to go and change our world.

CONFERENCE SPEAKERS

CORNÉ BEKKER

Dr. Corné Bekker joined Regent University in 2005. He previously served as the associate dean for academics of Rhema Bible College in Johannesburg, South Africa and as the Department Chair of Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry in the Regent University College of Arts & Sciences.

Bekker also led the Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership Ecclesial Leadership major of the School of Business & Leadership and is actively involved in research on the use of biblical hermeneutics and spirituality to explore Christian and Ecclesial leadership. Bekker previously served as the editor of the Journal of Biblical Perspectives in Leadership (JBPL) and the co-editor of Inner Resources for Leaders (IRL).
Bekker is an ordained minister and is actively involved in ministry in the Hampton Roads area. He has traveled in Africa, Europe, the East and North America to present at churches, ministries, seminars and academic conferences on the subject of biblical exegesis and leadership formation. He has been an invited speaker to universities, seminaries and Bible colleges in the U.S. and abroad.
He served in South Africa on the board of the South African Council for Theological Education, was nominated to the Standards Generating Body for Theology and Ministry of the South African Qualifications Authority, and served on the Consultative Forum of the South African Council of Churches. Bekker previously served as the director for the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) of Regent University and as the director of the Center for Christian Thought & Action in the College of Arts & Sciences. He resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with his wife and son.

YINKA OYEKAN

Yinka Oyekan is a former President of The Baptist Union of Great Britain and senior pastor at The Gate in Reading, which has seen a significant revival and evangelistic outpouring in recent years.

He is an avid evangelist and church planter and has a great passion for the supernatural move of the Holy Spirit for sustainable revival. Yinka founded The Turning, through which he has led several missions throughout the UK and Europe. He also enjoys prophetic ministry and prophetic arts as ways to reach out to those around him.

HEINRICH TITUS

Heinrich Titus has been involved in ministry for over 20 years. He is the senior pastor of Shofar Somerset West, former chairperson of Kibwe Kids (a foster care organisation), and serves on the Shofar Apostolic Team as international leader.

Heinrich has a heart for the marginalised, the weak, and the downtrodden of society. He pursues social justice and is actively involved in providing foster care to orphans in surrounding communities.

ENA RICHARDS

Ena Richards is a South African married to Walter, and they have three grown children. Ena and Walter live between the North Georgia Mountains in the U.S. and George in the Garden Route, South Africa.

Ena is passionate about the outdoors (specifically the South African bushveld and the North Georgia Black bears!) She is the founder of WORK 4 A LIVING (W4AL), an organization dedicated to empowering individuals to break free from the shackles of poverty. With a focus on Africa and South America, W4AL has touched the lives of over 40,000 young people, offering pathways to employment, skills enhancement, and entrepreneurship, primarily through the power of God’s words and ways. Her ethos is deeply rooted in her faith, a steadfast belief that by living according to God’s ways, lives can be transformed and destinies rewritten.

PHILIP GELDENHUYS

Philip is the co-founder and CEO of Triga Ventures. He also co-founded Community Keepers and Calling Education and served as the former’s CEO for ten years.

Philip holds a PhD in Social Development from the University of Cape Town and was also a Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley in the USA. Philip and his wife, Reé, live in Paarl, South Africa, and have three children.
