We are a dynamic family of believers settled in the heart of South Africa’s capital city. Our services are marked by vibrant praise & worship, practical Bible teaching and heart-warming fellowship. Services are held each Sunday at the beautiful Stone Church, 227 Jan Shoba st, Hatfield.<br

Small groups are the heartbeat of our ministry and provide a safe environment where each member can actively engage with, and grow in, their faith within the context of authentic relationships. We meet all across the greater Tshwane area during the week.

Parent's Room

A parent's room, with private feeding area, is available at our Sunday morning services.

Children's Church

Children's church is central to our Sunday morning services with classes available for ages 3-13 years. A separate toddlers' area is also available for families with children under the age of 3 years.

Communion Sundays

Communion takes place on the first Sunday of each new month. It is a time we gather in fellowship together to break bread and celebrate Christ's death and resurrection. Everyone's welcome!

Phillip pastors Shofar Pretoria, serves on Shofar's Apostolic Team and oversees our congregations in Pretoria, Potchefstroom, Polokwane and Tzaneen. He is passionate about seeing people flourish in their walk with Christ, with a particular affinity towards university students. He is married to Janetta and they have three daughters.

Jaco Prinsloo

Pastor

Jaco serves as associate pastor at Shofar Pretoria, focusing on Marriage and Family ministry as well as outreach. Jaco loves people and is passionate about seeing individuals nourished spiritually and growing steadily in their pursuit of God’s will for their lives. He is married to Erna and they are blessed with one son and two daughters.

Deidre Mills

Children's church

Deidre is a qualified occupational therapist with a passion for discipling children. She leads our children's church team. Deidre is married to Aidan and together they have two children.

Darlington Chando

Elder

Darlington is a gifted musician with a love for God's house. He oversees our technical and volunteer teams. Darlington is married to Edna and they have one daughter.

Kyle and his wife Megan lead our music ministry. They are gifted musicians who love seeing our congregation grow in worship. They have one son.

Internship

Shofar Internship is the perfect opportunity to gain practical ministry experience and is ideal for those who would like to gain exposure to different aspects of ministry as well as those who simply wish to serve for a year. Interns work alongside pastors and staff in all aspects of ministry, with a focus on student, worship and missions ministry.
