Welcome to Shofar Bellville (Urban)

There’s a large community of homeless people in Bellville and in 2012 church members from Shofar Tygerberg, together with MES, started spending time with them. We quickly realised that a permanent church home was desperately needed and so Shofar Bellville was planted. Our congregation of about 150 – 170 (mostly disenfranchised) people has grown into a loving community of active believers!
Every Sunday morning we have a service and provide a meal for 150-170 people after the service. There is a Children’s Ministry and a mid-week Bible study group. Shofar Urban partners with MES and other NGOs to take care of the community that it serves.
