As a church, our main focus is to reach nations and generations through disciple-making, leadership development, and church planting. With the growth of our congregations over the past few years, we now have the challenge and responsibility of cultivating and maintaining a relationship with each individual and keeping them connected to our church family.
At the end of 2015, we connected with the Church Community Builder team. They specialise in church management software that helps congregations with the everyday administration of their members. CCB is great for connecting leaders with members and helping them to keep up with the spiritual growth journey of each congregant. For us, this is very exciting, especially for our bigger congregations, as we are now able to more effectively disciple every member, from first-time visitors to those who have been family right from the beginning.
Naturally, a system can never replace personal relationships, and that is the way we want to keep it. Small group facilitators, zone coaches, district leaders and different ministry champions will play an integral part in this discipling process, as they will be the hands and feet of their respective pastors. They will be making sure that each member is connected to a small group and from there they can be connected with different church ministries when needed. In this way, small group facilitators will also be able to ensure that each member receives care when needed.
The implementation phase will continue for the duration of the year. So, keep an eye on your local church news for an update on when and how your congregation is going to implement new functionalities.
